The Flemish Government will increase the core funding of VIB to 43.8 million Euros a year, an increase of 6.3 million Euros. This was announced by Flemish Minister for Innovation Ingrid Lieten at "Closer to the future ', a symposium about the future of life sciences, organized on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of VIB. The new budget is fixed in the new management agreement of the Flemish government with VIB, running from 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2016. read more
