Eco Treasures is specialized in the extraction of added value components out of natural feedstock. It has a pilot plant for supercritical CO2 extractions which is available for 3th party testing. Eco Treasures has the know-how to upscale the test results and design and construct industrial size supercritical extraction plants. Eco Treasures commercializes its own berry seeds fruit oils and press cakes such as raspberry seed oil obtained by cold pressing as well as supercritical extraction.
Eco Treasures, established in July 2006, is specialized in the extraction of added value components out of natural feedstock. It has designed and constructed a pilot plant for SUPERCRITICAL FLUID EXTRACTIONS (SFE) using CO2 as medium and can do test runs or small industrial productions on your feedstock.

A supercritical fluid is unique in combining the properties of a gas and a liquid into one. By using CO2 as a solvent, extractions can be made at a low operating temperature (hardly above ambient) and therefore preserve sensitive active ingredients and ensuring a higher quality product.
The pilot plant can perform solid-liquid and liquid-liquid extractions. It has some unique features allowing it, not only to perform test runs, but also making it possible to produce small industrial runs. It can be operated at temperatures between 35°C and 120°C and pressures of 80 to 285 barg.
Eco Treasures not only performs your test runs or small industrial productions with supercritical liquid extractions, it can also design and construct a pilot plant made to your specifications but with our know-how.
Besides its technology offer for third parties, Eco Treasures offers also a range of dried fruit seeds processed by its proprietary cleaning, sieving and drying techniques.
From these dried fruit seeds it produces a number of derivative products and extracts. All commercial products are produced without the aid of harmful solvents and with respect to their delicate nature:
Eco Treasures has designed and constructed a pilot plant for SUPERCRITICAL FLUID EXTRACTIONS (SFE) using CO2 as medium and can do test runs or small industrial productions on your feedstock. It tries to stay at the forefront of technological developments on supercritical extraction technologies to be able to perform your tests and productions on the most efficient and environmentally friendly way. It has been awarded a project innovation subsidy from the Flemish Institute of Scientific Development (IWT) for the development of a continuous operated solid extraction reactor which will reduce operating time and cost dramatically. Thanks to the in company engineering capabilities, we are also able to scale the test runs towards industrial conditions leaving our customers the possibility to start industrial production of their own test runs at their own facilities, or continue a partnership with Eco Treasures to do that production for them. We also design and construct custom built units for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, fragrance and flavorings industry or their suppliers.

The dried berry fruit pulp is separated from the seeds by our proprietary technology and can be used in the feed- or food sector as an additive.
The berry seed oils are extracted from the clean dry seeds by cold pressing or supercritical CO2 extraction.
The press cake, after oil extraction is further processed to the customers’ requirements and in view of the end use.
