FlandersBio is the umbrella organization for the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Sector in Flanders. It is a dynamic organization, counting 240 members, which supports the continued development of this innovative sector.

The FlandersBio network brings together Flemish companies engaged in innovative and R&D activities in the life sciences. These companies develop drugs and diagnostics, medical technologies, and varieties of agricultural and horticultural crops aimed at sustainable agriculture and application in the green industry. The FlandersBio network also includes academic research institutions, investors and companies that supply services and technologies to the life sciences community.

Ghent Bio-Energy Valley vzw is a non-profit organization set up to support the development of sustainable bioenergy activities and the resulting economic growth in the region of Ghent, Belgium.

Ghent Bio-Energy Valley vzw is an initiative that grew out of the collaboration between Ghent University, the City of Ghent, the Port of Ghent, the East-Flanders Provincial Development Corporation, and a number of industrial companies that have close ties to Ghent and are active in the production, distribution, storage and use of bioenergy and bio-based products.

Ghent Bio-Energy Valley vzw is a leading European initiative for the development of the bio-based economy of the future.

Ghent Bio-Energy Valley vzw promotes the development of the bio-based economy through group programs, joint initiatives and the creation of synergy between partners who are active in R&D, policy-making, logistics and public education.
